Delzoppo, a 20-year-old medical student from Lyon who discovered freeride via videos of Candide Thovex and the ESF Freeride program at La Clusaz, won the 2023 Freeride World Junior Championship and the 2024 Challenger Series to earn her rookie 2026 Pro Tour season. She opened with a 2nd place at Baqueira Beret, but developed persistent right knee pain that an MRI after the Val Thorens stop revealed to be a full tear of her external meniscus - doctors told her it meant immediate season-ending surgery. She opted for cortisone injections instead to keep competing, finishing 3rd in Alaska and ultimately 4th overall for the season after a gutsy qualifying run at the Verbier final on the Bec des Rosses, congratulating champion Lou Barin afterward - all while continuing her third year of medical school in parallel and knowing she'd need knee surgery the moment the season ended. Equipment: rides Salomon skis (personally decorated with a 'La Clusaz' sticker, per Alpine Mag's own on-the-ground reporting); sponsored by Mammut for apparel/team kit.
