About Winter Vinecki

American aerial skier born 18 December 1998 in Grand Rapids, Michigan; grew up in Gaylord, Michigan. Before turning to skiing, she was an elite endurance athlete: became the youngest person to complete a marathon on all seven continents at age 14 in 2013 (including the Antarctica Marathon), and was a two-time IronKids national triathlon champion (2010, 2011). At age nine she founded the non-profit Team Winter, which has since raised over $500,000 for prostate cancer research. Began training in aerials in 2011 after meeting three-time Olympian Emily Cook, and was named to the U.S. Ski Team in 2016. Represented the United States at the 2022 and 2026 Winter Olympics. Broke through in the 2023-24 season with three individual World Cup wins (Changchun, Deer Valley, and Lac-Beauport), finishing 2nd overall that season, and opened the 2025-26 season by winning the Lac-Beauport World Cup on 7 January 2026 to regain the World Cup leader bib, finishing the season tied for 4th overall (274 points). Graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah in 2021 and later published a memoir, Winter's Rise.

FIS competitorid=182128, FIS Code 2530620. Equipment sponsor (Kaestle skis) confirmed via Kaestle's own athlete roster page (listed as 'Winter Vinecky', a misspelling, under their Aerial & Mogul team) - a brand-level confirmation with no specific model named, so linked in Athlete gear to the same generic Kaestle aerials ski product row used for other Kaestle-sponsored aerialists (Christopher Lillis, Danielle Scott) rather than creating a duplicate unspecified-model row. FIS official bio's own Skis/Boots/Poles fields are blank. 2025-26 World Cup points total (274, tied 4th) independently verified by summing her season's individual cup-point entries in FIS's own results table.
