About Wendy Holdener

Swiss World Cup alpine ski racer and one of the sport's most decorated all-rounders, specializing in slalom and alpine combined while also racing giant slalom and super-G, born 12 May 1993 in Unteriberg, Schwyz; races for SC Drusberg. Made her World Cup debut in October 2010 and reached her first podium in March 2013. Won her first two World Cup races and the combined discipline Crystal Globe in the 2015-16 season, adding a second combined globe in 2017-18. Went 30 slalom podiums without a win before finally breaking through with a shared slalom victory (with Anna Swenn-Larsson) at Killington in November 2022, followed by a second slalom win at Sestriere two weeks later. A two-time World Champion in combined and five-time Olympic medalist (four individual plus a mixed team gold at PyeongChang 2018), she added combined silver at the 2022 Beijing Games and, at the 2025 World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, silver in the inaugural team combined event (skiing the slalom leg alongside Lara Gut-Behrami on downhill) plus another individual combined medal - her 9th career World Championship medal. Has competed at four Winter Olympics (2014-2026).

FIS Code 516280. Career: 55 career podiums (41 SL, 5 PSL, 5 AC, 2 SG, 2 GS) - an exceptionally deep podium record relative to her win total, consistent with the 'all-rounder' descriptor. 9 World Championship medals (3 gold) across 7 appearances (2011-2025). 5 Olympic medals (1 gold - mixed team, 2018) across 4 appearances (2014-2026). 2 discipline Crystal Globes (combined, 2016 and 2018).

Sponsors: Head (skis, boots) and Leki (poles) - per FIS official athlete biography (manufacturer-updated equipment fields), confirmed directly on Holdener's own official sponsors page (wendyholdener.ch), which describes both as long-term equipment partners since her junior years (Leki also supplies her 'protection for every discipline', not separately tracked in this schema). X-Bionic (base-layer apparel worn under her race suit) also confirmed via the same page. No helmet/goggle/glove sponsor identified - checked her official sponsors page, Head's athlete page (JS-rendered, no static content retrievable), and Swiss-Ski's site without finding one; an AI-generated search summary claimed Head supplies helmets/goggles and Reusch supplies gloves, but neither claim appears on her own official sponsors page, so both were discarded as unconfirmed - as of 2026
