About Wang Xindi
Chinese aerial skier (王心迪) from Qinhuangdao, Hebei, competing for Shenyang; married to fellow aerialist and 2022/2026 Olympic champion Xu Mengtao. A three-time Olympian (2018, 2022, 2026) who placed 14th in both his first two Games before breaking through at Milano Cortina 2026: won individual gold in men's aerials (132.60 points), narrowly beating reigning world champion Noe Roth of Switzerland (131.58) by 1.02 points with a triple backflip carrying five twists (degree of difficulty 5.1) - the highest score of the night - then added bronze in mixed team aerials alongside Li Tianma and Xu Mengtao. His Olympic victory came the same week his wife defended her own aerials title, making them a rare married Olympic-champion couple in the same discipline.
FIS competitorid=181362. FIS's raw status field showed an unusual 'Active — Not allowed' tag at time of checking, which appears to be a site display quirk rather than meaningful status data (he has 2025-26 season results and a 2026 Olympic gold). FIS official bio's Skis/Boots/Poles fields are all blank.
