About Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen
Norwegian biathlete (Geilo IL) from Geilo, and one of the World Cup circuit's longest-serving competitors, having made his debut on 1 December 2012 - nearly 15 years and 31 career World Cup wins ago (per Salomon's own athlete page). Won Olympic relay gold and individual mass-start bronze at the 2022 Beijing Games, and added sprint and pursuit bronze medals at the 2024 World Championships in Nove Mesto. At the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics he won silver in the men's 10km sprint - which he called the best individual result of his career - plus a second silver in the relay. In March 2026, at age 33, he told the press he hopes to retire after a home World Championships at Holmenkollen in 2029.
Also holds a dormant FIS cross-country athlete profile (competitorid 147666) from his junior XC racing days (status: Not active, equipment fields blank); current equipment sourced from Salomon's and One Way's own athlete pages instead.
Sponsors: Salomon (skis, boots) - per Salomon's own official athlete page (with Salomon since 2004); One Way (poles) - per One Way's own official athlete roster page.
