About Ulrik Samnøy
Norwegian freestyle skier (full name Ulrik Max Harstad Samnøy) from Bærum, specializing in big air and slopestyle. Started skiing at age 9 at his home hill of Kirkerudbakken; began his competitive career in 2016. Won gold (big air) and bronze (slopestyle) at the 2019 Junior World Championships, took his first senior World Cup podium in 2020, and earned his first World Cup victory in big air at Beijing on 6 December 2025 before being selected for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
First World Cup win: big air, Beijing, 6 Dec 2025. First World Cup podium: 3rd, 29 Feb 2020 (season finale). 2019 Junior World Champs: gold big air, bronze slopestyle. Won the inaugural World Rookie Finals Freeski title, 2019.
Sponsors: Red Bull - confirmed via Red Bull's own athlete profile. Ski/boot/binding equipment sponsor is unclear: a 2019 World Rookie Tour report has him joining a Voelkl/Marker freeski team as a junior prize, while more recent secondhand mentions reference Head/Tyrolia - neither is confirmed via a current official brand page, so no equipment sponsor is recorded as confirmed here.
