About Tomofumi Naito
Japanese ski jumper born in Chofu who competes for the Yamagata City club. After more than a decade on the World Cup circuit, he broke through in the 2025-26 season: won gold in the team event at the 2026 FIS Ski Flying World Championships in Oberstdorf on 25 January 2026 - Japan's first-ever medal in that team event - then claimed his maiden individual World Cup victory in Oslo on 15 March 2026. Was not selected for the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympic team.
2026 Ski Flying World Championships: GOLD, team event (Oberstdorf, 25 Jan 2026) - Japan's first-ever team medal at this championship (confirmed via FIS results, position 1). First career individual World Cup win: Oslo, 15 Mar 2026, large hill (confirmed via FIS results, position 1). Did not compete at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics (Games predated his win by about a month). User's claim 'Japanese team member' confirmed and understated - he had a breakout, medal-and-win season in 2025-26.

Skis per FIS's official athlete database (Skis: Fischer).
Ski jumping race ski from Fischer's ski jumping athlete roster, distinct from the brand's existing alpine and cross-country race-ski entries. Starting the 2025-26 season, Fischer Sports' ski jumping skis carry a co-branding partnership with the unrelated German fastening-technology company 'fischer Group', featuring the fischer Group's 'DuoPower' anchor-product branding on the skis alongside the Fischer Sports logo - this is a sponsorship/branding tie-up, not a new ski model name.
