About Thea Minyan Bjørseth
Norwegian ski jumper (Lensbygda Sportsklubb), a former Junior World Champion (age 17) who won team bronze at the 2021 World Championships and made her Olympic debut at Beijing 2022. During the World Cup event in Ljubno, Slovenia on 15 February 2025 she set a hill record on her first jump before crashing on her second, tearing her ACL, PCL, and MCL in her left knee and dislocating her elbow. The injury ruled her out of the 2025 World Championships in Trondheim and has kept her off the World Cup circuit through the entire 2025-26 season, meaning she also missed the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics.
A severe multi-ligament knee injury (torn ACL/PCL/MCL) and dislocated elbow suffered in a crash at Ljubno on 15-02-2025, which sidelined her for the 2025 World Championships and the entire 2025-26 season, including the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics. FIS results confirm no competitions logged after that date.
