About Tenra Katsuno
Japanese freeride skier from Niseko, introduced to the sport through family and friends and inspired by figures like Gen and Akira Sasaki. Qualified for the Freeride World Tour after an impressive 2023 FWT Qualifier season, finishing 6th overall in his 2024 rookie year. Balances competition with filmmaking (self-produced short film 'SASURAI') and advocacy for environmental causes, gender equality, and growing the freeride scene in Asia.
He remains a recognized figure in the sport, however: Salomon's own January 2026 product-launch article names him as accompanying newly-signed athlete Cole Richardson on a trip to test the brand's new flagship S/LAB QST X freeride ski in Hokkaido, confirming Salomon as his ski sponsor.
