About Sam Morse

American World Cup downhill/super-G racer from Carrabassett Valley, Maine, who trained at Carrabassett Valley Academy (the same club that developed Bode Miller) and joined the U.S. Ski Team in 2014. Won the 2017 Junior World Championships downhill title in Are, Sweden, part of a gold-medal sweep with teammate Alice Merryweather, and earned his first World Cup points with a 29th-place finish in the Val Gardena downhill in December 2020. Posted his best World Cup result with 10th in the Val Gardena downhill in December 2022, and made his Olympic debut at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Games, finishing 19th in the downhill and 23rd in the super-G. A registered Maine Guide, he founded and runs FAST (Faith and Ski Training) Camps at Mount Hood.

Nicknamed 'Moose' (hashtag #mooseontheloose); registered Maine Guide who founded FAST (Faith and Ski Training) Camps at Mount Hood. Note: Fischer's own athlete page shows an internally inconsistent birthday ('April 30, 1996' in its profile field vs. 'born on 11 October 1996' in its own body text), both of which conflict with the FIS- and US Ski & Snowboard-confirmed date of 27 May 1996 used here.

Sponsors: Equipment: Fischer (skis, boots), One Way (poles), Sweet Protection (helmet, goggles) - per FIS official athlete biography, Fischer's own athlete page, and Sweet Protection's own athlete page; team/nutrition sponsors Sugarloaf and Clif Bar per usskiandsnowboard.org, as of 2026.
