About Sage Cattabriga-Alosa

American big-mountain freeskier born and raised in Alta, Wyoming, now based in Bend, OR. A Teton Gravity Research film staple since around 2000-2001, he estimates he's appeared in roughly 85% of all TGR films ever made, and has skied more Alaska lines than almost any pro. His breakout moment was landing a double front flip over Pyramid Gap in 2001, earning him his first Alaska filming invitation.

THOUGH UNDERSTATED. Per TGR's own in-depth interview with Sage (Nov 2023), his first movie was filmed in Russia around 2000-2001, meaning by 2026 he's actually closer to 25 years deep with TGR, not just '20+.' He estimates he's appeared in about 85% of all TGR films ever made. He was born and raised in Alta, Wyoming (not Alaska. His breakout moment was landing a double front flip over Pyramid Gap in 2001 after visualizing it the night before while washing dishes at a lodge; the segment (in TGR's 'Mind the Addiction') earned him his first Alaska invitation. Equipment per TGR's own gear review: primarily rides the Atomic Backland 117 ('my dedicated charger... I spend most of my season on it'), also uses the Bent Chetler 120 for deep backcountry days and the ultralight Backland 107 for spring/long tours, all mounted with Atomic Shift bindings; sticks to one boot all season, the Atomic Hawx XTD 130 (maxed-out forward lean, Sure Foot custom foam-injected liners).
