About Robert Johansson
Retired Norwegian ski jumper from Lillehammer, nicknamed the 'Wing Commander' for the handlebar moustache he grew for the 2018 Winter Olympics, which drew significant media attention. Represented Sore Al IL. Set a ski flying world record of 252m in Vikersund on 18 March 2017 - the same competition where teammate-rival Stefan Kraft broke it hours later with a 253.5m jump. At the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics won bronze medals in both the individual normal hill and individual large hill events. Competed through the 2024-25 season, including the 2025 Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim, and announced his retirement on 20 May 2025 - a season marred for the Norwegian team by a suit-manipulation scandal involving other teammates. Finished his World Cup career with 3 individual wins and 16 individual podiums across 11 seasons (2014-2025).
Retired (announced 20 May 2025); did not compete in 2025-26. Career: 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics - individual normal hill bronze, individual large hill bronze. Former ski flying world record holder (252m, Vikersund, 18 Mar 2017). 3 individual WC wins, 16 individual podiums (career 2014-2025). Last competed at the 2025 Nordic World Ski Championships (Trondheim).

Slovenian-made ski jumping race ski from Slatnar. Slatnar's own World Cup shop line is sold as three length-banded models: 'World Cup 218-235', 'World Cup 238-260', and 'World Cup 261-273' (cm), i.e. the model name IS the certified length range an athlete uses, sized to hill/HS category and the jumper's FIS-calculated max ski length - there is no single named flagship model. Exact length band used by each individual athlete is not publicly disclosed.
