About Rino Yanagimoto

Japanese mogul skier (柳本理乃) from Aichi Prefecture, competing for Aichi Daihatsu Ski Club. Earned her first career World Cup podium (2nd, moguls) on 12 December 2021 at Idre Fjall, and has since collected multiple further podiums, including back-to-back 2nd-place finishes in moguls and dual moguls at Idre Fjall in December 2023 and a 3rd/2nd double at Almaty in early 2025. Finished 4th in moguls at the 2023 World Championships (score 79.67). In April 2024 she was diagnosed with cerebrospinal fluid hypovolemia (a spinal fluid leak), and on 1 December 2025 - one week before the 2025-26 World Cup season opener - broke her right collarbone in a training fall. Despite both setbacks, she was selected for the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics in January 2026, advanced through Olympic qualifying (round 2 score 73.35) to the moguls final, and finished 13th in moguls and 17th in dual moguls at the Games.
