About Ren Nikaido

Japanese ski jumper from Ebetsu, Hokkaido, whose father Manabu was himself a world-championship-level ski jumper. Competing for the Nippon Beer ski jumping team - established in autumn 2022 after the company's president learned of him through the Sapporo Ski Federation, making Nikaido its first signed athlete - he has competed on the World Cup since 2020, won a Grand Prix individual event in Rasnov in 2022, and became Japanese national champion in 2023. Broke out in 2025-26, finishing the World Cup season 4th overall with 1,109 points. At the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics, won three medals: individual large hill silver, individual normal hill bronze, and Team Normal Hill bronze (with Japan), while placing 6th in the Super Team large hill.

Fischer Ski jumping

  • Ski Jumping

Skis per FIS's official athlete database (Skis: Fischer), corroborated by Fischer's own official athlete page for Nikaido (fischersports.com/athlete/ren-nikaido).

Ski jumping race ski from Fischer's ski jumping athlete roster, distinct from the brand's existing alpine and cross-country race-ski entries. Starting the 2025-26 season, Fischer Sports' ski jumping skis carry a co-branding partnership with the unrelated German fastening-technology company 'fischer Group', featuring the fischer Group's 'DuoPower' anchor-product branding on the skis alongside the Fischer Sports logo - this is a sponsorship/branding tie-up, not a new ski model name.
