Costain (full name Parkin Wilds Costain, born April 19, 1999, per SCOTT's own athlete page) is a Whitefish, Montana native who chased Montana's big lines from his home mountain to Big Sky's Headwaters ridge, now based in the Big Sky/Cooke City area. He broke into the industry by winning TGR's Grom Contest in 2015, then the Quiksilver Young Guns contest in 2017, before landing a breakout segment in TGR's 2018 film 'Far Out' (the same film that gave Kai Jones his start) and turning pro. Note on sponsors: older articles (circa 2019) describe him as a Line Skis-turned-Black Diamond athlete, but per SCOTT's own current official athlete page, he is now a SCOTT-sponsored skier, naming the SCOTT SEA 116 and Pure Pro 109 as his favorite skis alongside the React Amp Pro goggle and Patrol Ultralight avalanche pack -- his ski sponsorship appears to have moved to SCOTT since those earlier reports.
