About Oleksandr Okipniuk
Ukrainian aerial skier from Berehove, Zakarpattia Oblast, whose mother was his first trainer; a student at the sports faculty of Kamyanets-Podilsky Ivan Ohienko National University. Made his World Cup debut at age 14 in Bukovel (23 February 2013, 27th), then largely stepped away from World Cup competition after a 2015 back injury that required treatment in Kisvarda, Hungary, resuming training at the end of 2016. Has been a permanent member of the Ukrainian national team since the 2018-19 season and won his first career World Cup victory at Ruka on 6 December 2025. Finished 12th individually at the 2021 World Championships (his Worlds debut), then won mixed team bronze at the 2023 World Championships (Bakuriani) and mixed team silver at the 2025 World Championships (Engadin, with Dmytro Kotovskyi and Anhelina Brykina). Competed at the 2022 Beijing Olympics (9th individually); Ukraine had qualified for the mixed team event but was barred from competing by Chinese authorities after Okipniuk, Kotovskyi, and Novosad returned positive COVID-19 tests. At the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics, finished 10th individually and 6th in the team event.
FIS competitorid=180625. FIS official bio's Skis/Boots/Poles fields are all blank (status listed as 'Not active', likely a registration/off-season artifact rather than retirement, since he has 2025-26 season results including a December 2025 World Cup win).
