About Nicolò Molteni
Italian World Cup speed skier (downhill/super-G) from Cabiate, Lombardy, racing for C.S. Esercito (Italian Army sports group). Speed-event specialist active since October 2014; made his European Cup debut Jan 2017 at Kitzbuehel (DH) and his World Cup debut 2 Dec 2021 at Beaver Creek (SG). Broke through with 9 European Cup podiums (3 wins, first at Wengen SG on 6 Jan 2023) and a best World Cup finish of 14th (Kvitfjell DH, 8 Mar 2025); won silver in downhill at the 2024 Italian Championships (San Pellegrino). Suffered a torn left ACL crashing in the Val Gardena downhill on 18 Dec 2025, ending his 2025-26 season immediately; underwent reconstructive surgery in January 2026 at Clinica La Madonnina in Milan and missed the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympics as a result, with return targeted for the 2026-27 season.
FIS status shown as 'Active (injured, 18-12-2025)', consistent with the Val Gardena ACL tear that ended his season. Career stats per Wikipedia: 9 Europa Cup podiums (3 wins, 4 seconds, 2 thirds), best World Cup overall ranking 123rd (2022); has not competed at an Olympics or World Championships.
Sponsors: Head (skis and boots), per FIS official athlete biography (manufacturer-updated field) and Head's own athlete page (head.com/athletes/ski/race/nicolo-molteni). Races for C.S. Esercito (Italian Army sports group, his employer/club rather than a commercial sponsor); no other personal/commercial sponsors publicly confirmed.
