About Nicolai Schirmer
Norwegian big-mountain freeskier and filmmaker from Tromso, in the Arctic Circle. A Black Crows athlete known for pioneering descents in the wild landscapes of northern Norway, and for turning his freeride career into acclaimed cinematic storytelling. Directed and starred in the 2024 documentary 'Ski - The Greatest Ski Tour of All Time,' which won the Audience Award at the Trento Film Festival. Holds a master's degree in copyright law, earned alongside his skiing career, though he has never practiced.
Black Crows' own ambassador page features a direct on-record quote from Schirmer about his signature ski, the Corvus ('go fast - stomp big cliffs... now also became more nimble and easier to ski').
