About Nick McNutt

Canadian big-mountain freeskier from Whistler Blackcomb, BC, known as one of the defining backcountry skiers of his generation for his ability to land and ski switch in deep powder. His breakout TGR segment in 'Almost Ablaze' won Rookie of the Year at the iF3 International Freeski Film Festival and Breakthrough Performer at the 2014 Powder Awards; has since appeared regularly in TGR films shot in Alaska, Patagonia, and Pakistan.

He survived being buried in an avalanche while filming for TGR's 'Make Believe,' an incident widely covered by Macleans and Mountainwatch.
