About Mikaël Kingsbury

Canadian freestyle skier and the most decorated moguls skier in history, born in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec, raised in Deux-Montagnes; competes out of St-Sauveur. Began moguls at age 8, inspired by Janne Lahtela's gold at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. Named 2009-10 FIS World Cup Rookie of the Year. Holds the all-time records for men's World Cup moguls wins (100, reached 10 Jan 2026) and podiums (143), plus 13 discipline Crystal Globes and 9 overall Freestyle Crystal Globes. Nine-time World Champion (15 World Championship medals across 16 events entered) and the first man to sweep both moguls and dual moguls at Worlds (done three times). At the 2026 Milano Cortina Games he won silver in moguls (tied for the top score with Australia's Cooper Woods, 83.71 each, losing on the turns-score tiebreak) before winning gold in the inaugural Olympic dual moguls, defeating Ikuma Horishima in the final for Canada's first gold medal of the Games - his fifth career Olympic medal (1 gold, 4 silver) across four Olympics (2014-2026). Served as one of Canada's flag bearers at the 2026 opening ceremony alongside Marielle Thompson.

100 career World Cup wins (milestone reached 10 Jan 2026, Val St. Cote). 2026 Olympics: silver (moguls, lost tiebreak to Cooper Woods), gold (dual moguls, def. Horishima).
