About Michela Carrara
Italian biathlete, niece of Pieralberto Carrara (three-time relay World Champion and Nagano 1998 individual silver medalist). Won sprint gold and pursuit silver at the 2017 Junior World Championships in Osrblie before making her World Cup debut in 2019-20. Represented Italy at the 2022 Beijing Olympics (60th, individual) and broke into World Championship top-10 finishes at Lenzerheide (5th sprint, 8th pursuit).
A WebSearch AI summary gave her birthdate as '10 May 1997', which conflicts with Rossignol's own official athlete page (directly fetched: 'October 05 1997') - likely a DD/MM vs MM/DD misreading of the same underlying date by the AI summary. The directly-verified 5 October 1997 date is used.
Sponsors: Rossignol (skis) - confirmed via Rossignol's own official athlete page, listed under Team Biathlon.
