About Michael Hayboeck

Retired Austrian ski jumper (UVB Hinzenbach-Oberoesterreich, nicknamed 'Michi') born in Linz. Won team large hill silver at the Sochi 2014 Olympics (with Thomas Morgenstern, Thomas Diethart and Gregor Schlierenzauer), plus mixed team silver and men's team bronze at the 2017 World Championships in Lahti. Took 5 individual and 12 team World Cup wins across a 15-season career (2010-2025), with a personal best of 245.5m at Planica in December 2020. Announced his retirement on 4 February 2025, ending his career at the close of the 2024-25 season following the birth of his son, one Olympic cycle earlier than his original plan to compete through Milano Cortina 2026.

FIS bio lists status as 'Retired' with his last competitive result on 28-03-2025 (Planica). He announced his retirement in February 2025 and has not competed in the 2025-26 season -- he is a recently retired veteran, not an active A-team member.
