Mia is Jeremy Jones's daughter (per multiple SNOWBOARDER Magazine profiles and Jones Snowboards' own team page) and featured in TGR's 30th annual film 'Pressure Drop' (2025), including a dedicated Jones-family Tahoe segment on the legendary Grizzly Spine line her father first descended in 2007. She also starred alongside her father in the short film 'Twilight of Adolescence' (spring 2025), documenting a father-daughter splitboarding trip through the High Sierra before she left for college. A Dartmouth College student, she narrowly missed qualifying for the Freeride World Tour at an Arapahoe Basin Challenger event (3rd on day one, 4th overall, 2nd in the Americas standings) but was awarded a discretionary 'most deserving non-qualified' invite by FWT organizers in spring 2025; she went on to win her FWT tour opener at Baqueira Beret, Spain (Jan 15) as a rookie. She rides for the Jones Snowboards Pro Team, where her official bio credits her as a 'Next-gen backcountry rider. FIS Freeride World Champion + Freeride World Tour Champion.' Both she and her brother Cass were nominated for iF3's 2025 Breakout Snowboarder of the Year award; Cass won it. She is also a Protect Our Winters Alliance member. Notably, her father Jeremy is not just a TGR-affiliated athlete but a co-founder of Teton Gravity Research alongside his brothers Todd and Steve Jones.
