About Mary Bocock

American alpine ski racer who competes in downhill, super-G and giant slalom, born 7 October 2003 in Salt Lake City, Utah; trained from age two at Alta and Snowbird alongside her siblings (both parents have skiing backgrounds), and rose through Rowland Hall's Rowmark Ski Academy. Named to the U.S. Alpine Ski Team Development Team in 2021 at age 17, the youngest new member that year. Tore a knee ligament in a parallel giant slalom in December 2021; her 2022-23 comeback season exceeded expectations with a NorAm Cup overall title. Enrolled at Dartmouth College in 2023 while continuing to race. Made her World Cup debut on 28 October 2023 in Solden - the same race in which her younger sister Elisabeth Bocock also debuted, making them the first sister pair to debut in the same World Cup race since 1999. Best World Cup finish to date is 18th (super-G, St. Moritz). Selected for the United States at the 2026 Winter Olympics, where she crashed and did not finish the super-G but was able to leave the course under her own power.
