About Marion Haerty

French freeride snowboarder from Colmar, raised near Grenoble/Chamrousse. A 4x FWT World Champion (2017, 2019, 2020, 2021) and runner-up in 2018, she made history in 2021 by winning all four events on that season's calendar - the first rider ever, male or female, skier or snowboarder, to sweep an entire FWT season. Overcame a severe 2015 ankle injury (misread X-ray leading to a bone graft) that nearly ended her competitive career before she found her way onto the FWT via qualifiers.

She's a 4x FWT World Champion (2017, 2019, 2020, 2021) plus runner-up in 2018 - the most decorated rider in FWT history at the time of her fourth title. Her 2021 season was historically unprecedented: French Wikipedia and L'Equipe's own event coverage confirm she won all four events on that year's calendar, becoming the first athlete ever - male or female, skier or snowboarder - to sweep every single event in one FWT season. Worth flagging separately: she's a snowboarder, not a skier (Snowboard Women category), which is easy to miss in a mostly ski-focused claim list. Background: born in Colmar, raised near Grenoble/Chamrousse, endured a serious 2015 ankle injury (a misread X-ray at urgent care led to a bone graft for what should have been a simple fracture) that nearly ended her career before she found her way back via Freeride World Qualifications. Equipment: rides Rossignol, specifically a split-board version of her signature 'After Hours' model geared toward backcountry freestyle.

Sponsors: Rossignol; Rip Curl; Vans; Chamrousse; MIPS
