About Marcus Goguen
Canadian freeride skier from the Vancouver/Whistler area. Won the Junior Freeride World Championship in 2023, then had three FWT podiums in his 2024 rookie season (including a win at YETI Xtreme Verbier) to finish runner-up overall behind Germany's Max Hitzig. Claimed the full Freeride World Tour Ski Men title in 2025 with wins at the Kicking Horse Golden BC Pro and the Georgia Pro, becoming one of the youngest champions in Tour history.
Up; 2024 rookie season runner-up (2nd overall, behind Max Hitzig of Germany, after winning YETI Xtreme Verbier); grew up doing the Vancouver-to-Whistler Sea-to-Sky corridor drive as a kid per Rossignol's own athlete feature on him. As the defending 2025 champion entering the 2026 season, Goguen did not return to the podium in 2026 - he finished the season 8th overall in the FWT Ski Men standings (18,775 points; best result 6th at Baqueira Beret) and 13th in the newly-created parallel FIS Freeride World Championships, with Ben Richards (NZL) taking over as the new 2026 champion. Still finished inside the top 10 all season and reached the season finals.
