About Manuel Fettner

Veteran Austrian ski jumper (SV Innsbruck-Bergisel-Tirol, nicknamed 'Fetti') based in Innsbruck, with a 25-year professional career. Won team gold at the 2013 Nordic World Ski Championships and, at the Beijing 2022 Olympics, won the silver medal in the men's normal hill individual event (behind Ryoyu Kobayashi, ahead of Dawid Kubacki) -- his first individual Olympic medal -- as well as gold in the men's large hill team event alongside Stefan Kraft, Daniel Huber and Jan Hoerl. Announced on 22 May 2025 that he would retire at the end of the 2025-26 season, making the Ski Flying World Championships and the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics his career finale.

Won silver in the men's normal hill individual at Beijing 2022 with 270.8 points, behind Ryoyu Kobayashi's 275.0 — his first individual Olympic medal, distinct from Austria's large hill team gold at the same Games. Announced his retirement on 22 May 2025, effective after the 2025-26 season, with the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics as his finale.

FIS athlete-biography 'Skis' field lists Augment (bespoke competition ski-jumping equipment; no named retail model -- see Products id 299 notes).

Ski jumping race ski from Augment, a handcrafted-ski brand under VAN DEER - Red Bull Sports Equipment GmbH (the same parent company as the Van Deer alpine/ski-jumping brand).

Boots

Win Air

  • Ski Jumping

FIS athlete-biography 'Boots' field lists Win Air -- researched per model-research standard; win.air's own product line is bindings (F1, F1Xpro, VIP.air), with boots on its shop being resold third-party HOP/Fischer models rather than a win.air-branded boot -- see Products id 301 notes.

win.air Safety Jump System e.K. (Reit im Winkl, Germany) is primarily a ski-jumping BINDING manufacturer, with named binding models win.air F1, F1Xpro, VIP.air and VIP.air Junior. Its online shop's 'Boots' category resells third-party HOP-brand boots (HOP Kid, HOP 'Predazzo' Junior, HOP Jumping Boots 'SEEFELD') and Fischer-brand boots (Fischer Jump Adult World Cup, Fischer Jump, Fischer Jump Junior) rather than manufacturing its own named boot model.
