About Luca Aerni

Swiss World Cup alpine ski racer specializing in slalom and giant slalom, racing for Les Barzettes. World Cup debut in December 2012. Won the 2017 World Championship title in the alpine combined on home snow in St. Moritz and Olympic team-event gold at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games. Recorded a 2nd place in giant slalom at Val d'Isere in December 2025, his best World Cup result since the 2017-18 season.

World Cup career: 2 podiums (1 SL - 2nd Madonna di Campiglio 2017, 1 GS - 2nd Val d'Isere 2025). 2017 World Champion, Alpine Combined (St. Moritz). 2018 Olympic team-event gold. FIS official biography lists 'Skis: Fischer, Boots: Fischer'. Switched from Salomon to Fischer skis in 2020.
