About Lara Colturi

Albanian World Cup alpine ski racer specializing in the technical events of slalom and giant slalom (also competing in super-G), born 15 November 2006 in Turin, Italy; daughter of 2002 Olympic super-G champion Daniela Ceccarelli and ski coach Alessandro Colturi. Grew up in Cesana Torinese in the Susa Valley and began representing Albania internationally in May 2022 after her mother became technical director of the Albanian women's alpine team. Made her World Cup debut at 16 in November 2022 in Levi, Finland, becoming one of the youngest World Cup debutants in decades. Tore her right ACL in February 2023 but returned to World Cup racing less than nine months later. Reached her first World Cup podiums in the 2024-25 season (2nd, slalom, Gurgl; 2nd, GS, Kranjska Gora; 3rd, GS, Are), a feat achieved as a teenager that draws comparisons to Lara Gut-Behrami and Mikaela Shiffrin. Was Albania's flagbearer (with Denni Xhepa) at the 2026 Winter Olympics opening ceremony.

FIS Code 805009. 5th in the GS discipline standings, 2025. 1 Olympic appearance (2026), no medals; flagbearer for Albania at the opening ceremony. 1 World Championship appearance (2025), no medals. Born and raised in Italy; competed for Italy at youth level before switching affiliation to Albania in 2022, giving up a promising path with the deep Italian technical program.

Sponsors: Head (skis, boots) - confirmed via HEAD's own 1 July 2026 press release naming Colturi its fourth high-profile new addition to the HEAD Worldcup Rebels for the coming season (joining Kristoffersen, Innerhofer and Alice Robinson), superseding her prior long-term Blizzard/Tecnica setup (used through the 2025-26 season per skiracing.com); also matches the existing FIS official athlete biography entry. Reusch (gloves) confirmed via an nss-sports.com interview in which Colturi describes herself as a Reusch ambassador and discusses her glove choices in detail. Adidas is the Albanian Ski Federation's official apparel/footwear partner (not personal gear); Diston supplies cut-resistant apparel. No helmet/goggle/pole/binding sponsor independently confirmed - as of 2026
