About Kyle Negomir
American World Cup alpine ski racer specializing in downhill and super-G with the Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Team's speed group, racing out of Ski & Snowboard Club Vail. Made his World Cup debut in giant slalom at Beaver Creek (Dec 2018). Recorded the best World Cup result of his career, 11th, in the Dec 2025 Val Gardena-Groeden downhill, then finished 10th in the downhill at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics - the top American finisher in that race. Signed with Swiss ski manufacturer Stoeckli in June 2026 following his breakthrough season.
Nicknamed 'Nego.' Trained with Ski & Snowboard Club Vail, graduated Vail Ski & Snowboard Academy in 2017. At the 2026 Olympics also placed 19th in team combined (with River Radamus), 26th in super-G, and DNF in giant slalom. Chose Stoeckli in 2026 partly for proximity to its Swiss factory near his European training base and his relationship with former Stoeckli Racing Director Marc Gisin.
Sponsors: Stoeckli (skis, since June 2026 per Stoeckli's own athlete announcement and Ski Racing Media); Copper Mountain (home-hill partner, per Negomir's own official site knegomir.com). Boots: Atomic - per FIS official athlete biography; note FIS's manufacturer-updated ski field still lists Atomic as of this data pull, predating the June 2026 Stoeckli switch.
