About Kristofer Turdell
Swedish freeride skiing veteran, built his reputation on a standout performance at the 2011 Scandinavian Big Mountain Championship before becoming a fixture on FWT podiums. A two-time Freeride World Tour Champion (2018 and 2021), known for a flawless, reliable riding style; also took 3rd at the 2024 Verbier Pro. Continues to compete on the Tour as of the 2025-26 season.
Redbull's own 2018 interview headline reads 'FWT Champion 2018 Kristofer Turdell', and Black Crows' own 2021 announcement is titled 'Kristofer Turdell is Freeride World Champion 2021!' - both title years independently corroborated. FWT's current bio (which only says 'two FWT Championship titles' without naming the years) also confirms a 3rd-place finish at the 2024 Verbier Pro and continued competition through the 2025-26 season (12th at Baqueira Beret, 13th at Val Thorens in 2026; ranked 17th overall). At 36 years old (per FWT bio), he is indeed one of the Tour's most experienced veterans, having first made his name at the 2011 Scandinavian Big Mountain Championship.
