About Kirsty Muir

Scottish freestyle skier representing Great Britain, from Kingswells, Aberdeen, competing for Aberdeen Snowsports. Won all three freeski titles (big air, slopestyle, halfpipe) at the 2018 British Championships aged 13, then won her first World Cup medal (slopestyle silver, Aspen) in 2021 and competed at the 2022 Beijing Olympics (5th big air, 8th slopestyle) as the youngest Briton at the Games. A season-ending torn ACL and shoulder surgery derailed her 2023-24 season, but she returned to claim her first World Cup win (slopestyle, Tignes) in March 2025, her first big air World Cup win (Secret Garden) in November 2025, and her first X Games gold (slopestyle, 93.66) plus an X Games big air silver in January 2026. At the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics she narrowly missed medals with two 4th-place finishes (slopestyle, 0.41 points off bronze; big air, 3.5 points off bronze). Returning to the World Cup circuit in March 2026, she won slopestyle golds in Tignes and was runner-up in Silvaplana to secure her first career Crystal Globe - both the slopestyle title and the Park & Pipe overall title - becoming the first British woman to win either.

Won 2025-26 slopestyle World Cups at Aspen in January 2026 (80.62 pts) and Tignes in March 2026 (82.78 pts). Took X Games slopestyle gold in 2026 (93.66, beating Naomi Urness by over eight points) and big air silver at the same event (94.00, behind Mathilde Gremaud). Finished 4th in both events at the Milano Cortina Olympics, narrowly missing bronze each time.

Sponsors: Voelkl (skis), Dalbello (boots), Marker (bindings), Adidas Terrex (apparel, joined recently) - confirmed via a January 2025 Country & Town House interview in which Muir directly names each brand. Also a Red Bull athlete.
