About Kelly Sildaru
Estonian freestyle skier from Tallinn, older sister of Olympic halfpipe skier Henry Sildaru. Became the youngest-ever Winter X Games gold medalist (slopestyle, 2016, age 13) and the first Estonian to win any X Games medal; also the first woman to land a switch 1260 mute and a 1440 in competition (2017). Missed the 2018 Olympics to a knee injury despite being the slopestyle gold-medal favorite, but recovered to win world championship halfpipe gold. Won bronze in slopestyle at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. Won the 2021-22 FIS slopestyle Crystal Globe. At the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics she placed 13th in halfpipe qualifying and narrowly missed qualifying for the Games in her stronger event, slopestyle. Twice named Estonian Female Athlete of the Year (2019, 2022) and honored with a one-of-a-kind Barbie doll in her likeness (2022).
Won slopestyle bronze at the 2022 Olympics and took the 2021-22 slopestyle Crystal Globe, with six career World Cup slopestyle wins. Sister of Henry Sildaru. Narrowly missed qualifying for the 2026 Olympics in slopestyle, her main event, and competed only in halfpipe at the Games, placing 13th in qualifying.
