About Katie Hensien
American World Cup alpine ski racer and tech specialist (slalom and giant slalom) from Redmond, Washington, racing for Rowmark Ski Academy; also competed collegiately for the University of Denver, winning the 2022 NCAA slalom title and National Women's Alpine Skier of the Year honors. Made her World Cup debut in slalom at Killington, Vermont in the 2017-18 season. Represented the USA at the 2022 Beijing Olympics (26th, slalom) and was part of the USA's gold-medal team at the 2023 World Championships team event. Returned from an extended absence to open the 2024-25 season with a career-best 4th place in giant slalom at Soelden, Austria - the top American result that day - and qualified for her first World Cup Finals (Sun Valley, giant slalom). Named to the USA's 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympic team.
U.S. Ski & Snowboard's own results list shows 'Olympics Teams: 2022, 2018' alongside '26th, SL, Beijing, CHN, 2018' - Beijing hosted the 2022 Games, not 2018 (Pyeongchang was 2018, predating her senior national-team tenure); this looks like a data-entry error on the official site rather than a second Games appearance, so only the confirmed 2022 and 2026 Olympics are reflected here. FIS Code 6536171.
Sponsors: Equipment: Rossignol (skis, boots), Leki (poles), Vuarnet (goggles) - per U.S. Ski & Snowboard's official athlete equipment-sponsors page (usskiandsnowboard.org/athletes/katie-hensien) as of 2026; personal partners Stifel and Keely's Camp for Girls also listed on that page
