About Kaleb Barnum
Canadian ski cross racer and member of Canada's Next-Gen Ski Cross Team who claimed the FIS Ski Cross Junior World Championship title in 2024. Grew up racing alpine skiing in Ontario, then Kicking Horse and Fernie, British Columbia, before switching full-time to ski cross with the Evolve Ski Team in Nakiska, Alberta in the fall of 2023, on his coach's advice to build an alpine foundation first. Earned his first World Cup podium (2nd place) at Craigleith, Ontario in March 2026, finishing directly ahead of teammate Kristofor Mahler (3rd) on home snow. Cites fellow Canadian Olympic ski cross champions Kelsey Serwa and Brady Leman as mentors. Also a full-time University of Calgary Biomechanics student and a Canadian Coast Guard search-and-rescue crew member in the off-season.
2025-26 World Cup: 34th overall, 110 points (FIS official cup standings). First World Cup podium: 2nd, Craigleith, 22 Mar 2026. FIS Ski Cross Junior World Champion, 2024 (per his own official website).
