About Justine Dufour-Lapointe

Canadian freeride skier and Olympic moguls legend from Montreal, the youngest of the famed 'Dufour-Lapointe sisters' trio who competed together at Sochi 2014. Won Olympic moguls gold in 2014 and silver in 2018 before transitioning to freeride, winning the FWT overall title in her 2023 rookie season and again in 2025 - the second an emotional comeback following a season away caring for her late mother.

She won her first FWT title in her 2023 rookie season and a second in 2025 - two titles, as claimed. Her 2014 Sochi Olympic moguls gold is accurate (she also won moguls silver at PyeongChang 2018, alongside sisters Chloe and Maxime who competed together at Sochi). On 'reigning': her own FWT bio's live results table shows she's currently 3rd overall in the completed 2026 season (a win at Baqueira Beret with her signature backflip, plus a 2nd at YETI Xtreme Verbier) and took silver at the FIS Freeride World Championships Andorra 2026 - meaning while she's the most recent (2025) titleholder, she did not defend the crown in 2026, so 'reigning' should be read as 'most recent champion' rather than 'current-season leader.' She returned in 2025 for an emotional comeback season that included winning the opener at Baqueira and, per her own account and Quebec media (Radio-Canada, La Presse), feeling her mother's presence throughout - including on the day of the season finale, which fell on the anniversary of her mother's last day of life. Equipment: rides a custom Atomic Maven 115 CTI, a 115mm-underfoot ski that did not exist in Atomic's lineup until she personally requested a stiffer, higher-performance big-mountain ski after her rookie FWT season; it's now produced in limited numbers for Atomic's top freeride athletes.
