About Jonáš Mareček
Czech biathlete from Nové Město na Moravě, a product of the strong Vysočina regional biathlon program who broke through at junior level, winning gold in the individual and sprint at the 2022 Junior World and European Championships respectively. Made his World Cup debut in the relay at Oberhof in January 2021 and his individual World Cup debut at Otepää in March 2022. Set a career-best individual result of 22nd in the pursuit at Hochfilzen in December 2024.
Sponsors: Rossignol (skis) - confirmed via Rossignol's own official athlete roster (Team page), which currently lists Jonas Marecek under Biathlon. Note: a November 2024 Czech-language press headline ('Mareček vyměnil lyže' - 'Mareček changed skis') suggested a possible brand switch around that time, but the article content could not be directly verified and Rossignol's live roster still lists him as of this research - the historical switch claim is noted but not incorporated.
