About Jake Hopfinger
American big-mountain skier based in Bozeman, Montana, raised in western New York. Became the first skier ever to land a double backflip into Jackson Hole's Corbet's Couloir in 2020, the achievement that established him as a TGR athlete. A former ski racer turned freeride skier and emerging filmmaker/producer, sponsored by LINE Skis and Rab.
In 2020 Hopfinger became the first skier to land a double backflip into Jackson Hole's Corbet's Couloir, the achievement that put him on TGR's radar. Raised in western New York, he moved to Bozeman, Montana around 2016 to attend Montana State University and has since bought land near the Idaho-Wyoming border. A former ski racer turned freerider, he is sponsored by LINE Skis - he co-designed LINE's Optic 114, which he calls 'seriously my favorite ski in the world right now' - and by Rab for outerwear. He also appears in Benshi Creative's Mixtape project and the TV show Ultimate Mountain Athlete.

Model inferred from photo metadata, not explicit text.
Rab outerwear sponsorship confirmed via a documented 2024 team trip to Alaska's Chugach Range; the Khroma Converge model name is suggested by an official photo caption/filename ('aw24-khroma-converge') pairing Hopfinger with Rab gear, but is not explicitly named in interview text.
