About Jacqueline Wiles

American World Cup alpine ski racer specializing in the speed events of downhill and super-G, born 13 July 1992 in Portland, Oregon; races for the White Pass Ski Club (Washington) and is a graduate of Canby High School. Made her World Cup debut in November 2013 after winning the U.S. Alpine Championships downhill title in 2013 and 2014, then competed at the Sochi 2014 Olympics at age 21. Gained her first World Cup podium (3rd, downhill, Altenmarkt-Zauchensee) in January 2017 and a second (3rd, downhill, Cortina d'Ampezzo) in January 2018 - two weeks before a catastrophic crash in a World Cup downhill at Garmisch-Partenkirchen tore her ACL, MCL, LCL and posterior oblique ligament, injured her lateral meniscus and tib/fib joint, broke her fibula, and caused peroneal nerve damage, ruling her out of the 2018 PyeongChang Games. Rebuilt her career to a career-best 2nd-place downhill finish at Cortina d'Ampezzo in the 2023-24 season, and won bronze in the Olympic team combined (downhill leg) at Milano-Cortina 2026. Has competed at three Winter Olympics (2014, 2022, 2026) and four World Championships.
