About Hans Christer Holund

Norwegian cross-country skier (SFK Lyn) who retired from elite competition in July 2023 after a 12-season World Cup career (2009, 2013-2023). Won individual 15km freestyle gold at the 2021 World Championships in Oberstdorf, plus relay gold that year, and added an individual bronze and relay gold at the 2023 Worlds in Planica. Took Olympic relay silver at the 2022 Beijing Games. His signature victory came at the 2019 World Championships in Seefeld, where he won the 50km classic mass start with a late race-deciding attack.

World Cup record: 2 individual wins, 20 podiums (145 starts); 2 team wins, 7 team podiums (8 starts). World Championships: 2019 gold (50km mass start); 2021 gold (individual, relay); 2023 bronze (individual), gold (relay). Olympic: 2022 relay silver. Retired July 2023 per FIS's own announcement.
