About Halvor Egner Granerud
Norwegian ski jumper from Oslo who represents Asker Skiklubb and is the great-grandson of celebrated Norwegian children's author Thorbjorn Egner. Was part of Norway's gold-medal team at the 2015 Junior World Championships alongside Johann Andre Forfang. Made his World Cup debut in 2015 but didn't take his first podium until winning in Ruka on 29 November 2020 - a breakthrough that launched a run of five consecutive World Cup victories, the first by a Norwegian jumper. Won the World Cup overall title in both 2020-21 and 2022-23, plus the Four Hills Tournament in 2022-23 (winning three of the four legs). Also won Ski Flying World Championship team gold and individual silver in 2020-21. Has 25 individual World Cup wins and 41 individual podiums. Did not feature in the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics results after a difficult 2025-26 season.
2025-26 World Cup: 26th overall, 274 points (FIS official cup standings) - a steep drop from his title-winning seasons. Career: 2x World Cup overall champion (2020-21, 2022-23); 1x Four Hills winner (2022-23); 25 individual WC wins, 41 individual podiums (25-13-3). Ski Flying Worlds: team gold + individual silver (2020-21). Did not appear in the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics results.

Skis per FIS's official athlete database (Skis: BWT).
Ski jumping race ski produced and supplied by BWT (Best Water Technology), an Austrian water-treatment company that states on its own corporate site: 'BWT is the official ski jumping producer and thus supplier of selected top ski jumping athletes' - i.e. BWT is the equipment brand itself (not merely a sponsor logo on another maker's ski), comparable to how Red Bull's Van Deer/Augment operates its own ski brand.
