About Haley Cutler
American World Cup alpine ski racer and independent speed specialist from Sun Valley, Idaho, born 8 April 1997; races out of the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation. Raced collegiately for the University of New Mexico (technical events) and, after UNM's program lost funding, Montana State University, qualifying for NCAA Championships in her junior year. After graduating with a psychology degree, returned to Sun Valley to coach U12s before deciding to resume racing full-time, with the backing of SVSEF director Will Brandenburg and the local community. Switched to Atomic and, racing independently (self-funded through private donors, World Cup Dreams, and the Clif Family Foundation) rather than as part of the U.S. Ski Team roster, earned World Cup downhill start rights via a second-place finish in the 2024 Nor-Am DH standings. Made her World Cup debut at Beaver Creek's Birds of Prey course on 14 December 2024. Scored her first World Cup point (30th) in a downhill at Kvitfjell in 2025, narrowly missing a second point in super-G the following day (0.19 seconds off). Competed in all World Cup downhills and most super-Gs of the 2025-26 season pursuing Olympic qualification for Milano Cortina.
FIS Code 6535807. World Cup debut on 14 December 2024 in the Beaver Creek downhill, with her first World Cup point (30th) in a downhill at Kvitfjell in 2025. Races as an independent, self-funded athlete rather than on the core U.S. Ski Team roster. Second in the 2024 Nor-Am Cup downhill standings.
