About Franjo von Allmen
Swiss World Cup speed skier (downhill, super-G). Triple Olympic gold medalist at the 2026 Milano Cortina Games (downhill, super-G, team combined with Tanguy Nef) and 2025 World Champion in downhill. First Swiss Olympic super-G champion and first male skier since Jean-Claude Killy (1968) to win three golds at one Olympic Games. In World Cup competition he built to that Olympic super-G breakthrough with three straight SG podiums without a win in 2025-26 - 3rd at Livigno (27 Dec 2025), 3rd at Wengen (16 Jan 2026) and 2nd at Kitzbuehel (23 Jan 2026, 0.03s behind Odermatt) - before winning Olympic SG gold at Bormio on 11 Feb 2026.
5 WC wins (4 DH, 1 SG), 14 podiums (8 DH, 6 SG) through the 2025-26 season (Wikipedia, standings through 28 Feb 2026). His only career World Cup SG win remains the Jan 2025 Wengen victory; the Olympic SG title is a separate (non-World-Cup) competition. First Swiss Olympian to win super-G; first male skier since Killy (1968) and first athlete overall since Janica Kostelic (2002) to win 3 golds at one Olympics.
