About Fanny Smith

Swiss ski cross racer and one of the most decorated athletes in the sport's history: a 3-time Olympic medalist (silver 2026, bronze 2022, bronze 2018), 3-time World Champion (individual and team gold in 2025, plus individual gold in 2013), and 4-time World Cup overall champion (2013, 2019, 2021, 2025) with 37 career World Cup wins and 91 podiums. Born and raised in Villars, Switzerland, she turned professional at 16 and self-funded her own junior program when no Swiss ski cross pathway existed. Overcame a career-threatening knee injury in 2011 and a fractured tibial plateau a month before the 2022 Olympics to keep competing; missed five World Cup races in the 2025-26 season after a labrum tear and back issues but still won Olympic silver at Livigno and was named Switzerland's flag bearer. Returned to longtime partner Stockli for skis in 2024 after a period with different equipment.

2025-26 World Cup: 4th overall, 671 points (FIS official cup standings). 2026 Olympics (Livigno): silver medal. Career: 37 World Cup wins, 91 podiums, 4x World Cup overall champion (2013, 2019, 2021, 2025), 3x World Champion (2013, 2025 individual, 2025 team).
