About Erik Belshaw

American ski jumper born in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and a member of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club; his older sister Annika Belshaw is also a U.S. national team ski jumper. Made his World Cup debut in December 2022 in Engelberg and scored his first World Cup points the next day. Won silver in the individual normal hill event at the 2024 Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Planica, becoming the first American in men's ski jumping history to reach the podium at a Junior World Championships. Was not selected for the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympic team.

Personal best: 230m (Oberstdorf, 24 Feb 2024). 2024 Junior World Championships: SILVER, individual normal hill - first-ever American men's ski jumping Junior Worlds podium. 2023 World Championships (Planica): 26th individual HS138. Did not compete at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics (absent from both his FIS and Wikipedia results for that season). User's claim 'US ski jumper' confirmed and expanded above.

Skis per FIS's official athlete database (Skis: BWT).

Ski jumping race ski produced and supplied by BWT (Best Water Technology), an Austrian water-treatment company that states on its own corporate site: 'BWT is the official ski jumping producer and thus supplier of selected top ski jumping athletes' - i.e. BWT is the equipment brand itself (not merely a sponsor logo on another maker's ski), comparable to how Red Bull's Van Deer/Augment operates its own ski brand.
