About Ema Klinec
Slovenian ski jumper (SSK Norica Žiri) from Poljane nad Škofjo Loko, a university student. Became the first Slovenian female ski jumping World Champion by winning individual gold in the Normal Hill event at the 2021 World Championships in Oberstdorf (also team silver). On 18-19 March 2023 at Vikersundbakken she became the first woman to officially jump over 200 metres, then set a world record at 226m and won the first-ever women's ski flying World Cup event. Has since added a mixed team bronze (2023 Planica) and a mixed team large hill silver (2025 Trondheim) at subsequent World Championships.
She is actually a WORLD CHAMPION, having won individual gold in the Normal Hill at the 2021 World Championships (the first Slovenian woman ever to do so). Her full World Championships medal haul is 4 medals: 1 gold (2021 individual NH), 2 silver (2021 team, 2025 mixed team LH), 1 bronze (2023 mixed team).
