About Elena Curtoni
Italian World Cup alpine ski racer specializing in the speed events of downhill and super-G, born 3 February 1991 in Morbegno, Sondrio, Lombardy; races for C.S. Esercito, resident in Cosio Valtellino. Older sister of former World Cup racer Irene Curtoni. Made her World Cup debut in November 2009 and gained her first podium in March 2016 (3rd, downhill, St. Moritz). Won her first World Cup race - a downhill at Bansko in January 2020 that also produced an Italian podium sweep with Marta Bassino and Federica Brignone. Added a second win (super-G, Cortina d'Ampezzo, January 2022) and a third (downhill, St. Moritz, December 2022), and was runner-up for the super-G crystal globe in 2022. After more than three years without a win, including recovery from a serious injury, she claimed her fourth career World Cup victory in the super-G at Val di Fassa on 8 March 2026. Has competed at two Winter Olympics (2022, 2026) - best result 5th, downhill, Beijing 2022 - and seven World Championships.

Runner-up, super-G World Cup discipline title, 2022. Best Olympic result: 5th, downhill, Beijing 2022.
