About Connery Lundin
American big-mountain freeride skier and film athlete, raised in the Bay Area skiing at Squaw Valley (now Palisades Tahoe). Raced through high school, then switched to freeskiing at the University of Colorado Boulder. Won the 2015 Freeskiing World Tour outright, leading to his first film role in POWDER Productions' 'Monumental' (2016) and a spot in Matchstick Productions' 'Drop Everything.' Also known as Warren Miller's self-described 'grass skiing icon' for pioneering off-piste extreme grass skiing.
Lundin, who grew up skiing at Squaw Valley (now Palisades Tahoe) after being raised in the Bay Area, raced through high school before switching to freeskiing in college at the University of Colorado Boulder. He won the 2015 Freeskiing World Tour outright (the Subaru Freeride Series' season title, a distinct US-based competition from the separate Freeride World Tour, though he also competed in an early joint FSWT/FWT event at Revelstoke in 2011, finishing 4th), a result that led to his first film role in POWDER Productions' 'Monumental' (2016) and a spot in Matchstick Productions' 'Drop Everything.' He's featured multiple times in Warren Miller films, most memorably as the studio's self-described 'grass skiing icon' for a 2022 segment filmed in Switzerland -- skiing on grass skis, off-piste, in a way no one had attempted before him. No specific ski equipment sponsor could be confirmed after searching. Lundin's ski equipment sponsor gap is now resolved -- FREESKIER's November 2025 feature on Blizzard's new 'Canvas' freeride line names Lundin as one of seven veteran athletes (alongside Tom Peiffer, Elyse Saugstad, Caite Zeliff, Marcus Caston, Joel Pollinger, and Johan Jonsson) who 'shepherded Blizzard's freeride program' and contributed athlete feedback to the new Canvas line (built in 100/108/118mm widths); no personal signature model is named for him specifically.
