American big-mountain freeskier born and raised in the Aspen/Basalt, Colorado area, where he still lives and skis. A longtime Teton Gravity Research film athlete (filming with TGR for nearly a decade as of a 2023-era profile), he has appeared in recent TGR releases including the studio's 30th annual film, 'Pressure Drop,' and has helped bring TGR film production to the Colorado backcountry around his home mountains.
ONE DETAIL NEEDS CLARIFICATION. Hinchliffe is confirmed as a longtime TGR film athlete (filming with TGR for nearly a decade as of a 2023-era TGR profile, appearing in recent releases like TGR's 30th annual film 'Pressure Drop'). However, he's specifically an Aspen/Basalt, Colorado-based skier; multiple sources (SHOUTOUT Colorado, Aspen Daily News, Aspen Times) describe him as born and raised in the Aspen area and still based there, helping bring TGR film production to the Colorado backcountry around his home mountains. Equipment: co-developed Volkl's Revolt 121 big-mountain ski (alongside Markus Eder, Paddy Graham, Fabio Studer, Tanner Rainville, Sam Smoothy, and Tom Ritsch) and, per Volkl's own 2026 press materials, was one of four team riders (with Kye Petersen, Markus Eder, and Finn Bilous) whose input shaped the newer freestyle-oriented Revolt 112 powder ski.
