About Cass Jones
American junior big-mountain/freeride snowboarder from the Truckee/Lake Tahoe area, California. Son (not daughter) of big-mountain snowboarding legend and Jones Snowboards founder Jeremy Jones. A member of Jones Snowboards' junior 'Futures' development team and the Freeride World Tour Junior circuit, he won iF3's 2025 Breakout Snowboarder of the Year award after stepping into his first official TGR film segment in 'Pressure Drop' (2025), riding the same iconic Grizzly Spine line his father first descended in 2007.
TGR's own 'Behind the Line' feature details how Cass rode the legendary Grizzly Spine in Tahoe -- the same no-fall-zone line his father Jeremy famously first descended in 2007 for the Standard Films movie 'Paradox' -- with the same cinematographer, Mike Hatchett, filming both father and son on the identical face nearly two decades apart. At 16 years old during the 2025 season, Cass finished 5th on the Freeride World Tour Junior circuit and rides for Jones Snowboards' junior 'Futures' development team. He and his sister Mia were both nominated for iF3's 2025 Breakout Snowboarder of the Year award; Cass won it, with the family together in Porto, Portugal when the news arrived. Per SNOWBOARDER Magazine's January 2026 feature on the family, Cass has become faster than his father on the mountain -- a 'changing of the guard' moment Jeremy described watching happen at Palisades Tahoe's KT-22 the previous winter.
